About Ooi Xin Yi
Ooi holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Malaya. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2019.
Ooi’s area of practice include strata management, housing development dispute, family, employment, judicial review, corporate compliance and advisory. Ooi has experience assisting in appellate matters in relation to strata management, housing development, intellectual property and trade union disputes.
She has experience representing developers, joint management bodies, management corporations and individuals in a wide range of litigation with over 25 reported cases. She has also assisted corporate clients in drafting compliance policies and advising on regulatory and compliance matters.
Ooi is a co-author of two books entitled:
• “Company Meetings and Resolutions” published by Sweet and Maxwell Malaysia (2019).
• “Judicial Review in Malaysia : Case Commentaries on Key Topics” published by Sweet and Maxwell Malaysia (2024).
